Has anyone bought the new sharpener for the blades in their cutter. Are they good. Will be going to the Birmingham Quilt show uk next week. Hoping to get one there. Vernie uk
Cutter sharpeners

I have one for my 45mm rotary blades and while I was still using it as my primary cutter, the sharpener did come in handy a few times. I did find however that the sharpeners don't put new life into a blade like you would hope and they certainly don't make the blades lifespan indefinite. Basically it'll get you by until the store opens or you feel like going out to get a new one but it isn't gonna give you a new blade by any means.
I use a 60mm cutter now and only buy good Olfa blades, not the knock offs and my goodness is there ever a difference. I still have not changed out the first blade and I bought the thing over a year ago and I have done a TON of cutting with it, it just won't give up!
Will check them out at the Birmingham Show - must get one now. Always there in an emergency. By the way mine is a Fiskars. Vernie
I have a Fiskars cutter, too, Vernie. The Olfa blades are still the best. Don't know if Fiskars do blades? . In message , vernie writes
Thanks for the info. Jenn. I don't think I'll change for now. . In message , jennellh writes
