Does this look like a baby quilt

Zo, *I* like that quilt for a baby -- what's wrong with it, in your DH's opinion? If you want to see a baby quilt that *really* doesn't look like a baby quilt, look at the one I made for one of my grandsons -- the one that uses fabric to form a "plaid" effect and that I made for Dominic. Just scroll down a bit at . This is the pattern DD#1 chose for her second baby, so that's what he got. For your baby quilt, I'd say go ahead and finish it and give it to the new baby -- I'm sure the family and the baby will all love it. :)

Hullo Zo I think it's perfect for a baby. Easily focused shapes, bright colours, great mix of colours too. I'd say it was just right. . In article , zo writes

It looks like a baby quilt to me. What does DH think makes something a "baby" quilt? Chicks and bunnies? It's lovely.

Looks like a baby quilt to me, but then all but one of the baby quilts I've made have been in nonpastel colors (and I think a lot of people associate pastels with baby quilts). The first one was a red and white nine-patch, the last one used colors (bright) of the rainbow, and another one was in burgundy, pink, and white. I think yours looks really great!

Well, you guys made me feel so much better. I decided, what do men know anyway (hee hee). I quilted it last night with a stipple stitch and am finishing the binding as we speak. I told DH what you all said about his opinion, and he thinks you all need a stern talking to. So if he does respond, just read it and think to yourself "blah blah blah". Boys can be so dumb. Zo, I've tried to get to your pictures, but just can't get through. Do you have another url for it? I'd really like to see it. I love to make baby quilts and quilts for kids. I've only made one or two that were obvious "baby quilts," so I know what you mean. It all depends on the baby and family!
