cluck cluck cluck - Chickens!

Hello all!

I am in need of a simple chicken block. I'd prefer pieced, and relatively rustic. Google has turned up a lot of applique patterns which is more time than I have to invest...

I'm contemplating HST with bead eyes but thought I'd check with this invaluable resource before I cut anything! I'm really excited about the fabrics I've found for this one!!!

Thanks!

This one is pieced, buthas a lot of pieces. I know I saw a really simple applique one - fusible, just a couple of pieces per chicken, but I can't remember where. If it comesto me, I'll let you know. :-)

Cluck,

Thanks all!!!

You're really great! This search has previously given new meaning to the phrase "hunting and pecking" but I come here and have my answer before lunch! Thanks so much! I promise to keep you all posted on this!

This is probably the one I remember from a Simply Quilts episode. There is also the easy Log-Cabin chicken by Char Jorgensen. I can look it up on my tape if you'd like, and describe it.

I'm happy with this free chicken block pattern - it's just what I was looking for, but I'm intrigued by Char Jorgensen. I was called Char when I was younger - is this person male or female? Do you know if Char is a nickname?

Howdy! Creative spelling strikes again. Like Phoenix/Pheonix. LOL It's Sharlene Jorgenson, at Quilting from the Heartland; she's a wonderfully friendly, energetic woman who does not collect a stash; we went shopping together a few years ago when she was here for a guild program; we exchanged squishies. She explained that she doesn't have time to go back and re-use any fabrics as the next project (there's always a next project for her business) must be new, new design & new fabric. *sigh* Her local charity quilters are lucky ladies.

She also explained how the PBS quilt show biz works. Ragmop/Sandy

Sounds like fun! No call to be creative with "bits" though and I like doing that.

Better like shopping too!

I confess to the error. I blame it on Shar's parents. Happiness is having a scapegoat.

When I transpose letters I usually end up with Chalrotte, which sounds like "shall rot". I don't want to think about that yet.
