Elm Creek Quilts author event

I had the pleasure of meeting her in Minneapolis (White Bear Lake technically) when she was there for a book signing. She was a joy to chat with.

We chatted for quite a few minutes... as I shared how my path and hers had crossed in several ways. Her story starts at Penn State (State College PA) where I lived for 6 years. In one of her early books, she has a character from Dayton Ohio (I lived there for 2 years). She makes her home (and some of her characters do also) in Madison, Wisconsin -- where I put two boys through college. There were at least 4 or 5 other fun coincedences...

If you have the chance to meet her.... go for it. She is such a kind person and fun to talk to.

What a shame I am so far away. I would have loved to have attended that. I am almost finished reading " The Winding Ways Quilt, " having read the other books from the Elm Creek series.I am sure you will have a wonderful time there, Sandy.

I love "our" Jennifer; she used to be a regularhere on RCTQ, and has mentioned us in a couple of her books.
