Elm Creek Fabrics!

I just logged on to the website of Quilted Treasures in Atco, NJ - a shop my sister and I visited for the first time a few weeks ago. Lynn said their website would be up soon. I received her newsletter just now and she highlighted the fact that she had just received the Elm Creek fabrics - Jennifer's fabric line. I wanted to see - and I love them!!!!

Aw - these are lovely (and usually I hate flowery fabrics) but these are clear and pretty! Where can I get them from?

Nurse Ratched - hold that parcel - don't send it yet!

Thanks for sharing Alice, I just finished reading A Quilter's Legacy and muchly enjoyed. Jennifer should take a bow for both the book and the fabric line. So when is the next book coming out Jennifer?

THE MASTER QUILTER will be coming out in April 2004 in hardcover and

--get this -- audiobook. (No, I'm not reading it. :-)

I'm glad you like the fabrics. I'm thrilled with how they turned out. The women at Red Rooster Fabrics are truly a delight to work with.

So, when you design fabric, what is the process? Do you actually sketch the designs or what? I've always wondered.

Audiobook? Hmmm. Sounds perfect for a quilter.

Thanks Jennifer, will pass it onto my quilting friends. In fact one e-mailed me tonight to let me know about the new title. Congrats, so who will read it???

It looks like it is available but when I click on the "buy" button, I get a "page unavailable" message. Is it only me? Perhaps they are just getting set up for the day they can begin selling.

Howdy! The NeedlecraftInc. site says "wholesale sewing and quilting supplies available to independent businesses", which indicates that they don't sell to us little guys. However, once their site is fully working, they'll be able to tell us who they sold to, where we can find the fabric. Btw, the Elm Creek Quilts fabric, Sylvia's collection, is expected at most fine quilt shops later this month. Thanks for the link, Alice, to Needlecraft; makes a good reference to check with, so I can make sure I get some of everything in the Sylvia collection. ;-)

And there's the rub - "most fine quilt shops" aren't over here in the UK!!! (mores the pity!)

So I shall just have to wait and possess my soul in patience!

Ah - you too eh Ragmop?
