Ergonomic Hieght of Ironing Board

Does anyone know the correct ergonomic height your ironing board should be at? Hip?? Waist??? Shoulder??? Under the margarita, but above the chocolate???

Definately high enough that you can pour margaritas without straining your shoulder.

My PT told me to set mine up (the board, not the margaritas) so that when my hand was resting on the flat iron (as if I was ironing), my elbow was at a

90* angle. I've also stopped putting water in my iron, and use a spray bottle. Water made the iron too heavy.

Thanks! Now.... I guess I shouldn't get the water and the margarita confused........

While it probably won't kill you to drink the water, I don't recommend spritzing fabric with margarita. Too wasteful.

Yes, and my RX for Quilters books suggests having something to put one foot up on.

Monique in TX, sadly denied both margaritas and chocolate, but I could keep Jordan almonds on the board...

The majority view here is: low enough to jump on, high enough that the scissors make a good loud thud when you push them off with your paw, and make sure it's covered with that silvery reflective stuff as it's warmer to sleep on.

Lol.... my QI's say that the frood recommended height is too low for them to sleep under... and much vocal protests were made.....

Yeah, but think how happy your iron would be. ;)

But would it mistakenly walk the plank after sipping too many and plunge off the ironing board?!

I read somewhere that 4" above a bent elbow is the ideal height. Linda
