Eye Candy for quilters!

My county library is hosting it's second annual quilt display at the main library building and I went today to see them. Best of all, I went with my mom. The good news for you all is that I took my new camera and snapped a lot of photos. They are uploaded in a Webshots album at:

What a great collection. Such varied subjects. The Hydrangea one is such a very good idea; and the Mariner's Compass with the curvy sides and ship pictures is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing Debra. . In message , Debra writes

Debra, Thank you so much for the delightful quilt show. I especially liked that Virginian Reel that incorporated starts .... the quilt next to the pastel Lone Star. It is nice to see such an fine body of work from other Virginia quilters.

Thanks for sharing. That is a lot of inspiration.

I was particularly drawn to a single block in a civil war quilt, either photo 19 or 29. The block was done in a dark red and medium blue and looked like two friendship stars that were laced together. Does anyone know the name of that block?

Dee...always watching for a new block

I'd like to thank you all for visiting the quilt exhibit photos at my Webshots page and for all the nice comments. I am so glad you enjoyed it and I hope that you found a little inspiration too. I hope I remember to take the camera with me next year so we can do it again in then. Debra in VA See my quilts at:
