Been awhile since I reported in. SIL has been here for a few weeks with my being 'chair bound' once again. I got the cast off last Tues and into Das Boot for 2 weeks...then work my way into the transitional shoe once again. Don't have to go back for a WHOLE MONTH!!!!!! (Still on the 'lectric Scooter at home)
And the pressure Wound on the L foot is down to a 'surface spot' so it's still 'limited walking' as Dr thinks it'll be gone within a week. Will have to be careful for a coupla years after. AND I don't have to go back to him for whole month (2 Different Drs here)
Did get 'out' for an hour this AM to a Church Rummage Sale. Actually had a Church Helper the whole time since I was on the 'one leg scooter'! I just bought a stack of books and didn't even go thru the whole sale. The gal brought books to me that she thought I'd like. Helped that we had similar tastes. She knew her 'area' very well....so I was outta there in an hour. Even had a fella carry the 3 bags of books to the car for me. now THAT was service :) It felt sooooooooooo good to get out for a bit. : )
Been watching the sad news from all the tornadoes and snow storms. Hope all are ok.
