Unexpected ER visit.

Went to the Pain Dr on Tues and ended up in hospital until yesterday.

Seems like I got cellulitus in my big R toe...was on anti-biotics for a week for it but it got much worse. Pain Dr sent me right to ER and 4 hours later I was admitted. Put me on IV antibiotics and down in bed with foot elevated.

Drs were pleased with the 'quick response' and sent me home with a bottle of horse pills for the next 2 weeks....providing I stay seated with Necessary walking only. TG, I have an electric scooter! ((Course my 2 Drs were on vacation..so I go back Wed as they'll both be back by then))

Sooooo, I'm back home for our 'date we met' Anniv 38 yrs ago....

DD is home for the Holidays and goes back to work mid-Jan. She's in training for First Officer as she'll be flying a jet that carrys 50/60 passengers. She's very excited and has been studying hard between 'babying' Moi ;)

Sure hope 2012 is MUCH EASIER for all of us (RCTQ'ers). Thank you for being there.

Ouch. I had that last year in my ankle and leg and know how much it hurts, and how long it takes to go away, even with huge doses of anti-biotics. Keeping your foot higher than your heart isn't easy, but does work. I used a lot of moisturiser/hand cream on the affected area as it did dry out.

Thanks :) I did get outside in the sun, cloudless blue sy with 75° for the maximum of

15 min. Set the timer and Mr Joe stayed inside to make sure I didn't go past. I can't hear the timer outside. Yes, I did have my feetz up.

It felt soooooooooooooo good. Shorts, new Butterfly Tee, sun hat and sunglasses.......

Only GOOD news in Dec: My Niece is gonna have Baby #3.

Bad news this December alone: Firefly's dad had his kidney removed yesterday....cancer. Mr' Joes' first cousin..passed away (they did 2 tours of 'nam together).cancer. Memorial service next Memorial weekend in MI. Mr Joe's niece has BC.

MAYBE just maybe, we will be able to take a REAL vacation. I do so want to go to the North side of the Grand Canyon. That was one of the main reasons I had the other foot done this year so I could walk 'normally' not the way I had had been.
