Catching up

What a few weeks it has been!!! I've been lurking, every now and again. Looks like many are working on their March/April challenges. I've looked at the pages and they look wonderful! As do all the cards I've seen posted.

Kate I'm so glad your sister is doing better. Dorothy, I've been saying a prayer for your Mom and your family. I hope all are getting better. Dave, I talked with you on the phone. You've had a long road, know that many will be saying prayers for you as you work through your medical problems.

I've not done much scrapping. Like Dave, I've been a might down. I have seen the Dr. again and once again he put me completely off work as my knee is still really swollen, the knee cap still moving all over the place and the pain is incredible. I've sent a request to the workers compensation board of Arkansas requesting a new dr. and which one I wanted. I haven't heard back, (it takes 6-8 weeks and it's only been 3). My Mom has done wonderfully with her knee replacement, has a surgery date for the other one but....(there's always a but) she's in the hospital and not doing so good. She has a stag-horn kidney stone. She went in the hospital on Thursday and they placed a tube into her kidney to drain it and on Friday the dr. removed about 90% of the stone, he couldn't reach the rest of it. They will have to use sound waves to break the rest of it up. We're not sure when that will happen, if it will be in or out patient. She was terribly sick Friday night and all of yesterday. I spent the night with her last night as she was nearly nonestop vomiting, even with the anti-nausea meds. She was finally able to sleep about 3 hours this morning and she is better, her temp is nearly normal finally. I was really scared, at one point I was crying while trying to help her. I hope that this gets taken care of soon. I hope to take a day to myself later this week to recouperate!

Happy Birthday to all those that have had Birthdays. M-C, I am so glad to see you are doing so well with your new knee!! (my dad calls them the "after market knee"! LOL can you tell he fixes cars! )
