What is everyone doing?

I am working on arranging the funiture in the room that I have my stuff in. It is almost ALL mine! (it will be dubbed WOMANLAND!! LOL) Since DS#1 finally made it to basic training I've been shoveling out his room. DH will be taking it over and I'll get the corner that I'd gradually eased him into! The GP & Rabbits will be sharing WL with me but that's okay I don't mind. Once I'm done getting the furniture put where I think I want it I'll begin to organize my supplies and tools. Then Tuesday I'll be going to my Mom & Dad's to get a recliner from them. (I had mentioned that I spent most of my time in my crafting area because I have trouble getting off the couch, due to my knee. Mom said they had a recliner I could have to put in the front room. The only problem is it has ball point pen ink mark on it. I couldn't find it, she had to point it out to me!!! It's a nice leather chair, very comfy!!!)

Once the room is arranged I am thinking I'd like to get a round table for the center of the room for when friends come over to scrap or we have stamp camp here. I'll post pictures when I'm done, though it will be the end of the week I'm sure as I have to work all week. (sucks, even light duty gets in the way!!! lol I'll be glad when my retirement comes through!)

Today my goal was to pull out my cricut and work on some layouts. That didn't happen at all. Instead I eat breakfast, cleanup, took my clothes from my old closet unto my new closet and I didn't feel so great so I had a lazy day. I guess a lazy day is good because I'm going to have to work overtime a few nights this week. I have to go in an 1 1/2 hours early tomorrow. So I guess a lazy day was good.

Had three grandchildren all weekend - only one left. Not sure when he's going home. He's 10, same age as DS and acts like he's moved in for the summer............. Re-reading the HP books in what spare moments I can find - in anticipation of the new movie and book coming soon. Sandy

I sooo need to organize! After I get WL put together I plan on taking the time to sort, organize and hopefully reduce some things! That may take a long time, I really want to reduce the amount of things I have but I hate to part with anything as I always need/want something that I've just gotten rid of.

Nothing wrong with a lazy day. I think we all need them once in a while. I know I need them but I always feel guilty when I have one. My parents were always busy and I think about that when I just sit and watch a movie or just TV. I am working on that!

I'll bet you had a good time with the grand children. Perhaps he has moved in for the summer! What more could a kid ask for, grandma and a playmate all at the same house!

I can't wait until the new movie comes out and know I need to read the last book again.

I haven't been doing a whole lot lately. Just the usual day to day chores (yeah..the laundry multiplies itself, I SWEAR!!!) LOL and been going to work. I had to get my youngest DS ready to go on vacation with a friend of his. It will be the first time he has been gone from home for more than one night. The house seems so quiet now , as my 18 yr old is NEVER home either! I have three days off in a row Tues, Wed and Thurs, next week for the holiday. I am SO looking forward to that!

Kenda you just won't give that knee a rest will you... although you are doing all this work SO you can give your knee a rest huh. :) I'm the same way I find ways to get around my physical ailments and then ice them down later when I'm paying for it. haha

Your organizing sure sounds wonderful. Hope you have a great time in Womanland!

Oh Sandy we're right there with you with HP. We're re-reading the last one as we've read the previous ones a couple times and listened to them on CD in the car. Very excited about the new book and movie coming out.

I too, am doing laundry. Funny thing is my son is in Hong Kong... and we did his laundry before he left so he could pack. Why are there so many of his things still left to wash? Makes me wonder what he took? haha Since it's summer the towels have quadrupled I swear. I'm on my 4th load of towels. Didn't know I had so many towels.

Don't want to even think about the towel situation. DD has friends over almost every day in the pool - I couldn't find a clean towel to take a shower the otehr night. I finally told her last night that everyone has to "bring and take back" their own towel to get into the pool. If that doesn't work I guess I can try a padlock??? Sandy

Yes, everyone is supposed to bring their own towel for the pool... and I tell their mom's "Make sure they bring a towel." And in comes my daughter from the pool ... so and so needs a towel... as she runs through the house with me going.... ahhh ahhh ahhh just a minute there. Sliding door closing sound. When I was a kid and didn't have a towel... I didn't get one. I had to lay on the concrete with no towel. Sure made me remember my towel next time. I just don't have the heart to do that with someone's kid, but it sure crosses my mind.

When I was a kid my mom would buy my brother and I a beach towel each summer. If we lost it on the first day of summer or the last day we did not get another towel. Usually pretty early in the summer it would go missing and there we'd be sitting at the beach with no towel. Sitting at the pool with no towel. No pity from anyone. :) I only lost 2 towels and you bet I kept track of it from then on. I still have a beach towel that is 30 years old. It's just starting to look like what's holding it together may give out at any minute. A girlfriend of mine was complaining about how this was the 3rd towel she was buying for her kid that summer. I relayed my summer towel story (I didn't have kids at the time.) Next time we all went to the river there was her daughter shivering on a rock with no towel glaring at me. :D
