Educate me here. Why is it soothing? Is it the blue, the arrangement, the soft curve of the heart shapes? For the most part, I make dazzling baby quilts - althought I've never ventured far into the 'babies like black, white and red' territory. What is it about Joan's beautiful quilt that makes it soothing? I'm just now learning that one and would like to know more. Polly

I just found the various blue tones to be calm and sort of peaceful (or is it pieceful BG). The play of the lights and darks, reminded me of water & waves, especially with the curves of the hearts. Just my op.

It's lovely Joan. I'm so glad you are beginning to feel a bit more like yourself again. Such a shock will take time - this is great, though. Well done. . In message , joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska writes

I didn't use the word, but I found it so, too. I think it is the simplicity (virtual) of the pattern, the limited colour palette and the happy-togetherness of straight lines and curves. I would never have thought to question the word. It might just have been soothing to Joan to make it. . In message , polly esther writes

Howdy!

Gorgeous, Joan.

We saw this demo-ed in Houston yesterday; the vendor was having such fun playing w/ the fabric.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the sewing again. Take care. And please send me your new addy: eltex @ sbcglobal.net

Ooooh, I like it! Glad to hear you're back to sewing! What pattern did you use? ... just read down a bit on the replies (It was a kit?) Who puts it out? ME-Judy (hoping there's a pattern, 'cuz I really don't need more fabric - gotta use some of what I have to make room for more!)
