I'm ready to stitch up the quilt top. I sort of didn't work on it for several days, but I think I'm back on track now. Just have to figure out how to work up a border cuz the blocks took more fabric than the pattern said it would. Now, my new mantra ..... 'finished is better than perfect - ommmmm - finished is better than perfect - ommmm - finished is...................'

Finished is FANTASTIC!!! Even a finished top is good in my book. I finished one top a couple days ago and working on another tonight. (right now I don't have space to spread them out for basting to quilt)
Absolutely! I struggle to find a balance between perfectionism and actually getting something finished - I'm never going to be a fantastic quilter if I don't actually quilt some quilts! So I have to tell myself it's ok to use a less visible thread rather than the thicker more visible stuff and it's ok to stipple if that's what gets the quilt finished.
