Hi all,
I finally got my act together and put some finished projects into an album to share - the last 2 years have been fairly tough but these projects kept me motivated. I suffer from depression and use craft as my leveller. Hope you like them.

Well done Di, you have been busy. Amiee is a very lucky girl. I see you have mastered freemotion quilting, I wish I could say the same.

I love the black and white and red quilt. Strong visuals always catch me. :) And the butterfly appliques are to die for. I am a butterfly person all the way. If you haven't already, check out Darcy Ashton's line of books

If photobucket won't let you make an open album so you don't need to give out a password, you might want to try webshots. I've been using their free service for years for quilt pics. (I've also got a pbase account, but rarely use it for anything but photography-photography, which means I *rarely use it...)
Depression's such a bear. It's great that you can use crafts to help. What is Australian winter like? Is it sunny or gray?

Hello Heidi, Thanks for your lovely comments. I forgot I had a Webshots account - will be using that in future. Thanks for the reminder.
Winter in Victoria should be cold wet and gray but if it is anything like last year's one, it will be quite sunny with a few wintery days in between. We are in the middle of a terrible drought and need rain desperately. One half of the country burns the other half floods.
Today is sunny but forecast for rain. Hope it pours. Cheers, Di

Hello Sunny,
Hi Roberta,
Thankyou. Being new to applique work, it was great fun to do.
Hi Dee,
Thanks for the compliments.
The FMQ was easy because I did the quilt in three panels - so easy to get through the machine and to handle. When I had finished the quilting, I joined the top, and batting by machine - verrrry carefully then hand stitched the backing. I was so lucky it turned out so well.
I'll give you a call and explain how I did it.
You have been busy!
What fantastic appliqué! Such a cheery quilt. Aimee is a lucky girl. :-)
I love the card quilt too. Very clever. I've seen the novelty fabrics with cards on them and could never quite figure out how to incorporate them. Now, I see.
Quilting helps my anxiety, so I understand about using it as a leveler for depression.
Best regards, Michelle in NV
