Good Deal on Fabric

Apr 24, 2009 9 Replies

Good Morning,

First, let me say that I have nothing to gain by this although I do know these people. If you don't tell them where you heard this, they won't even send me a "thank you" note :-)

LQS quality fabric for $4.00/yd. Solids are $3.00/yd. This is a closeout special.

Jeff and Cricket used to own a quilt shop. It closed just about two years ago and they moved the 800+ bolts of fabric that were left to their house. They have (quite non aggressively) maintained an online store since then but there are still about 500 bolts left. They want to move this fabric.

Hey, wow! Rita, thank you. That was fun. I like to keep my patriotic colors bin full and ready for Soldier's Angels quilts (probably about the same as Wounded Warrior's and QOV) and found several over there that will be great additions. Also found a dark green that called to me. Fons & Porter has a good sale in progress too in case there's a back issue of a magazine or book you've missed. Their patterns are sort of midlin' - neither too complex or tedious to attempt or too plain and thus far, I find them to be accurate. Accurate is good. Polly

Thanks for the heads up, Rita. I'm looking at their site now. :-)

Oh, Rita! Why did you did do that to me? I broke my own rule of no new fabric until I use some more!! Great place!

Be good to yourself!

just came in. All of it is just glorious gorgeous. I hadn't seen the 'color connectors' by Free Spirit before. Makes me want to go twirl it in the front yard and do a flag dance. I just might. Polly

Please be sure that somebody gets a video of that and posts on youtube :-)

Rita I must you recommend good places! I placed an order on Saturday, well they were out of one of the fabrics and we did a replacement over the phone and it arrived Monday! Granted it didn't have far to go, but I couldn't believe it! Everything was perfect!

I'm having a hard time believing that I actually went to their site and bought some things - AFTER I supposedly spent EVERYTHING in Chicago. Not sure if I should thank you!!

I do seem to be the soul of evil lately :-)
