I volunteered to make a Halloween table runner to be auctioned at our church picnic the first weekend in August. Now, what do I make? I prefer not to paper piece....do you have any ideas, or know of any free patterns? I'm thinking something with pumpkins, leaves and maybe a cat. I'm not really big into the ghosts, witches, goblins, etc. Help!!

google images for halloween quilt (or throw in the words table runner) and you'll get lots of ideas... may spark something!

site has lots of free patterns, and is organized by season/use etc.You might find something here.
To keep it really simple, buy some Halloween fabric and use your favorite simple table runner pattern.

Thanks for all your good ideas...Julia, I like yours the best! I have been googling; that's part of the problem...now I'm more confused than ever! Going out to check local fabric store to see what they have.....

really like this pattern and it's easy to make up.
Waffle time looks easy too if you have patterned fabric you don't want to cut into.
