Help? No urge to quilt!

I don't work for the next 2 weeks (school's out). I haven't sewn in months because of studying for a test. So why am I not hauling out scraps and books and starting to make a quilt? Where's my urge?? I am still eating chocolate (lots) and practicing fondling fabric in stores, altho' I haven't bought any in a while. Is this a serious condition? Will it just pass on its own or do I need treatment and if so, what sort?

Thanks for your advice, docs! Dogmom

I know how you feel as I get this way too sometimes. Usually when I look at my to do list. When I need to get over this feeling I usually tackle something really small. Not only do you have an immediate sense of accomplishment...it gets you all jazzed to do more. Build back up to the big things!

Good luck, Melissa in NJ

I have to agree with Georg. Cleaning and reorganizing my fabrics and sewing area always gets me ready to start another project. I cleaned yesterday, so today I start making some quilted Christmas stockings for the family. Think I can get 7 adult and 6 granddarling (two still in utero!) stockings done by the end of the weekend??? YIKES!!!

So... 2 of those stockings just need to be really small, right? What kind of goodies do not-born-yet kids like? ;-P

Well, Wendy, I had only two and they are 32 and 34 now, so I hardly remember that far back. Any tips from a more recent mommy? ;-)

(Actually, my DDIL and DDS rushed to the hospital in Springfield-120 miles one way- this morning because she's bleeding and the baby isn't moving.... Little Nick is due 2/4/06.)

Sending positive vibes to the soon-to-be stocking recipient. As for unborn goodies... um.. I can't remember either!
