After being away from this forum for awhile, I thought I would checkin and see what goes on, and show you a little something that I didyesterday. First, let me explain my absence. I have been sewing a lotin the intervening timeframe. Just not doing any quilting. I havebeen sewing up a new wardrobe for my wife. Pants, dresses, shirts,culottes, skirts. Lots of stuff. It has been fun but I have missedquilting. Yesterday morning I was sorting through some fabricremnants, and came across some previously used fabric pieces, thatwere left over from various quilts and other things. The swatches werelaying on the cutting table, ready to be returned to their restingplaces, and I was struck by an inspiration to do a small wall hangingfor a first floor landing that had been recently depleted of itsresident artwork. It was a framed Needlepoint that was moved, toanother room. Well, what you see below is evidence that if you areinspired, you can do something all in one day. I started at 9 am, andfinished it just before dinner at 5 pm. It was great to be behind thesewing machine again with quilting as a focus. Dimensions are;32"x32".Hope you like it.John
