Hi everyone. I just finished a little and simple quilt to send to my DH's niece. As far as I know the baby is still in utero. This is my second finished quilt ever and has had to be done in the spare time I have while project managing our house erection. And boy, have there been issues! Now to get onto quilting the poiple one - properly.
I achieved a quilt - before the baby was born!
That is such a sweet quilt Fay & I love the idea of making up a doll quilt to go with it. Is your pattern from a book?

beautiful in it's simplicity,Fay.
Hi Pauline
It was in the Australian Patchwork and Stitching mag, vol 8 No 9.
Love it, Fay.
I love it - I especially love the matching doll quilt. I never thought of doing that but for a little girl that would be so darling.
The purple one is great. I have a lot of purple fabrics - I really should get some out eventuallly and do a purple quilt. You motivated me to do that. Maybe next week - have to finish my blue one first.

That's going to be a much loved quilt, I predict. It's sweet and cheerful and just darling. And the matching doll quilt is a great idea.

Thank you all for your lovely words. It encourages me to keep going. I know it's very simple. Up close the white fabric has white flowers and the yellow has larger embossed flowers on it, so there's a bit more interest on handling. Going to baste my purple quilt this week and concentrate really hard. Ta once more, Fay
