I don't like this one little bit

Ok, I put on my big girl pants and upgraded(ha!) to Windows 7 and you know? I think I'm ok with this. I mean, I haven't really been happy since DOS 5, but this is way better imvho, than Vista and I'm dealing, you know? I'm transferring files over to the new computer and transferring music and audiobooks to iTunes is actually an easier process.But - I don't like Windows "Live" mail and I will never like Windows "Live" mail. It's awkward and unwieldy and it just looks yucky.I've put myself on no mail on most of my Yahoo groups because apparently, there is no way to set up "rules" by which the different group emails go in to the folders I set up for them. I can drag them into a folder after they are downloaded but they won't just behave and go by themselves.Stuff is going into the Spam file that never did before and I'm afraid I'm going to miss a big sale or something and this just isn't right, you know?But I'll get used to it.This computer is wicked fast. I forget how fast they fly when they're new.Cindy

I bought an external one, but couldn't install it -- because I needed to install the drivers (off a cd) before plugging it in to get it to work.

See a slight problem here?

You could try going to the manufacturer's website & downloading the drivers from there. They might even be newer drivers than what would have been found on the CD.

Tried that, too, but it didn't work.

I think this 7 year old computer is going to get replaced sometime later this spring. We're talking about getting a "high-end" computer in kit form and putting it together ourselves. For the cost of a cheapy we'll end up with a nice one that will last, hopefully, another 6-7 years that way. :-)
