Unwashed fabric can do bad things when its incorperated with other fabrics and then washed.........I did it ones.......it schrank (sp?) the top didn't...
No reason why it can't. Excepting maybe...
Other quiltlings will have much more experience than me.
Of course if you never intend to wash the finished article it don't much matter I suppose?
Where is the picture of the top? ;)

You can do anything you want, no quilt police! Most fabric doesn't shrink much these days. And if you use a cotton batting, it's going to crinkle up a bit anyway. But is it so difficult to wash it? I'm always glad for the chance to see what the fabric looks like with no sizing, and pressing it after the wash gives me a chance to find any imperfections like slubs or dangly threads. Roberta in D

I often use muslin for backing; that does tend to shrink more than a lot of quilting cottons. I always make sure I wash that before using.

Fay,
It isn't quite finished yet. Will finish either today or tomorrow. Then will try and find a place to put it to take a picture.
Fay Don't know if I got the other one stopped in time, forgot to sign it. Sure wish I could figure out how to have auto signature.
In case I got it stopped, it isn't quite finished yet. Will finish either today or tomorrow. Then will try and find a place to put it to take it's picture.
