I have not been able to get this georgeous quilt out of my head since I saw it. The finished quilt that Joan made is to beautiful for words. Of course I know that I could never make such a beautiful quilt but I have been inspired to try my hands at a clam shell. I will make this a scrappy quilt as I am still trying desperately to decrease the amount of smaller pieces I have here. Since this takes some larger pieces this will be the ideal quilt to use up some of these lost pieces in my scrap basket. Also it will be a great take along quilt for me to do while waiting for the bus to take me to and from PT. I have to thank you Joan for the inspiration. You do beautiful work. julia
