If your mail program allows you can set up a sub-folder and try to automatically sort - if you do it by sender address, that should be fairly safe. Simply add the newsletter sender addy to the filter when you get the first email. Then if you buy from them, you know to go look in the sub-folder. But it leaves your main mailbox much less cluttered.

I keep a gmail account for all the newsletters, etc. I also received from the QofStitching just yesterday and immediately put her into spam....she will continue to show up there into eternity..barnyowl

I just block the sender's email addy when they get persistent like that. Good luck in getting rid of the ones you don't want. ;-)

Oh boy! Is this the place where we get to be cranky and growl for a bit? Sounds good to me. To Sherry - following Leslie with the details - Click the annoying incoming newsletter. Go up to the ribbon (or bar) at the top of your monitor. Click Message Click Junk then click "add sender to blocked senders list" That will take care of that. My gripe? I placed an order which claimed to include free shipping. They sent it to me by plain old First Class mail. The postage from their zip code to mine is (in reality) only $ 2.39. They charged me $ 19.95. I plan to complain until they correct it or learn how to block sender me. It's not the school. It's the principle of the thing. Polly

Well, I think you have a legitimate, and growl-worthy complaint. That's some pretty trumped-up postage charges, especiall when they were supposed to be free. Be the squeaky wheel. It never hurts to ask. It still doesn't hurt to ask repeatedly. I am not one to take customer dissatisfaction quietly either. BTW, I have also learned there's power in snailmail too when you're *really* unhappy with service or a product.

I've been methodically sorting and un-subbing from lists. All that Ive sent unsub requests have honored that request. All except Queen of Stitching, which I never signed up for in the first place, but that's another story.

I unsub every single time I get a mailing and have learned that's just a total exercise in futility. This time I used "mark as spam" which I'm not sure what that does, unless it will automatically send it to the spam folder next time.

Okay, don't mind me, I am just in a very unholiday, ungracious, and just generally poopy mood today. Thanks for letting me vent. (In a hundred years, it won't matter anyway, no?)
