no need to worry! life did indeed take over LOL to save time I'll copy/paste what I said to the swappers group and then add some more:
Goodness I never imagined that my life would take over quite so much as it had lately, what with a 2 week spring break, 2 magazine deadlines that had to be done by last week (during the break of all times!!) and 2 more looming for the magazine *and* I have the Hoffman's challenge quilt to finish and the quilt for my local quilt show (the European quilt championships) by the end of June so I'm swamped with stuff - getting to the computer has been impossible most days however the swap is something I have and will make time for so don't worry about that
the other thing I'm working hard on is writing a book as well as patterns that will be for sale at some point in the future - as I'm on disability now (but will soon be booted out of it as my health issues aren't considered bad enough for me to be on disability anymore) I can't earn any extra income (other than the magazine work) but as soon as I have a $$ job to pay the bills I can do what I have been plotting for some time now and that is go professional and see how far I can make it.
as someone mentioned I never imagined you would all miss me quite to much but then I *know* where I live LOL
yesterday I mailed a pile of squishies to all over the world - Europe, south Africa, USA and Australia so if I promised something from my up for grabs offers it's on the way by the slowboat that will probably go to china first via Hong Kong and Siberia and may, eventually, get to your country.
right.. it's time to get back to cutting.. I have 2 weeks to remake a quilt as the poor photographer couldn't get good photo's from the rather dark quilt I made last December (with fabrics my sponsor chose I hope she has learnt a lesson from this as I told her there wouldn't be enough contrast) this time I chose each and every fabric for the quilt myself - boy do I *love* shopping in a warehouse full of fabric!
