Katrina quilts - batting question

Sep 16, 2005 2 Replies

Looking for some guidance re: batting for a Katrina quilt. Would something as thin as a layer of flannel between cotton top and bottom be too warm? Don't want to send something that doesn't fit the climate. Help will be appreciated. Thank you.

A layer of flannel will be fine, so would real batting. Power Companies from everywhere have restored electricity to just about everybody and we are not suffering the 110° heat now. Even the tent shelters at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg have air conditioning, I'm told. An interesting concept, to be sure, but that's what they were offering. Whatever you decide will be hugged.
