No, my next expedition is Chilford. The last time we did a 'show' trip to the big city we caught the early train to get there as the doors opened at 10.00a.m. but arrived at the Chelsea showground at 11.45 having spent hours sitting on a stationary train in the middle of nowhere with everyone on their phones shouting 'I'm on the train, but its stopped'. By the time we got there the place was heaving. We had reservations on the 4.00 returning train - it was a cheap day fare, but I wouldn't have called it cheap.

If we ever go to a London show again it will involve an overnight stay with cousins in Basildon - so probably would use 'your' train?

Seaside Suffolk does have its disadvantaged!

(for the US readers - taking the car to London is not a good idea - congestion charges and nowhere to park.)

You could - or I could swing thro off the A127 and pick you up...!
