I understand how your friend felt. But to tell the truth it is worth every bit of the time it takes to make each of those blocks. Carol did a beautiful job with her designs. Even though they are complex in one way the simplicity is what I believe makes them so special. To me, the idea of being able to make perfect points on a star every time is a dream come true. I love stars to begin with so Carol's book and patterns has been one of those things you can have sweet dreams about every you begin a new block.julia

Great quilts! I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite out of them all.
