May I recommend?

Well sure. How could you stop me? I learned two new words this year. Blog and bling. I'm not particularly interested in blog but bling is fun stuff. The newest fabric here is so dazzling I just can't tear myself away from it. If you need a white fabric for snow, snowmen or something that needs some 'ta-dah!', take a look at Michael Miller's Fairy Frost Silver Glitter on White. The fabric is gently sparkling, nearly no shedding. Finding it is tricky since there's also one with gold glitter and another one that's sort of iridescent, no glitter and leans toward a shade of green. (Didn't like that one.) The other beauty is a line from Camelot Cottons called Finger Paints. The one I'm creating with is cobalt blue that somehow eases in swipes of turquoise and blue that's nearly black. Gorgeous. There is no LQS around here and my shopping for fabric must be done online. Please tell us if you've discovered another special beauty. Not affiliated but remaining hopeful, Polly

I like the Fairy Frost fabrics too Polly. I'm not sure if I've seen the Glitter ones though. I'll have to look for the Finger Paints collection too. Thanks for the heads up and, as usual, the giggle to go with it!

The Fairy Frost glitter is not an overwhelming sort of glitter; it's more of a fine powdered mist of sparkle. I was just thinking some of you might be choosing fabric for holiday WH, placemats and such. Polly

Thanks Polly, I'll look for the Finger Paint line too. I just bought a yard of the Fairy Frost white with silver glitz to make a moon in a wall hanging that is complete in my head but has yet to see light of day as even a pattern, LOL. But the fabric for it is all here, safe and sound. A girl's gotta be ready, right?

Where did you find the Finger P aint fabric online?

oooohhhhhh sounds pretty! Geez, just as I thought I'd become immune to fabric. Went to a quilt show on Friday and forced myself to buy two fat quarters. Even went through the vendors three times to see if I'd missed anything important. I wonder if I need meds?

I LOVE the Fairy Frost collection. I have several in my stash. KJ, I used the glitter ones on several of those little jewel boxes that you showed us a while ago. They are all very, VERY pretty. And they wash and iron really well too. Will have to check out the Finger Paints collection...... thanks, Polly!

Polly, I've used a bit of that Fairy Frost -- most recently as angel wings on a Christmas stocking I'm making for DGD. The Finger Paints stuff sounds luscious!

Both the white/silver and the white/gold are over at

and the Finger Paints collection is

Shipping from both was reasonable; an online shop only gets one chance to pad shipping charges and they never hear from me again. Polly

I do love the Fairy Frost. I have ordered a yard of it. I'm not sure what I will do with it, but I'm sure I will think of something! I think it might be the background for a Snowman wall hanging, or it might even be the snowman itself! I think I will definitely have to have some of the Finger Paints. The cobalt blue is gorgeous, and I also like the red.

Love the finger paints prints. Just seeing it made my heart sing from the memories of smearing paint around on paper. I could almost feel the paint on my hands. Debra in VA See my quilts at
