Meet our new kitty RINGO - Q.I.

We have a new kitty in the house to replace our beloved Whiskey who went to the Great Saucer in the Sky in June (result of accident). Ringo is so named because everyone thought Whiskey II was a cop-out! Ringo's pedigree name is Cenglow Ring a Ding. He is an Abyssinian purebred.

He is a real cutie and a bundle of trouble. We have had to kitty-proof the house as he has already broken an African ebony candlestick and a precious antique cake plate that belonged to my dearly departed mother! He hasn't learnt yet that his feet are connected to the rest of him LOL.

Check him out at webshots, Quilting Album:

He's beautiful Bronnie. What a charmer. No doubt he'll 'grow into' his ears >gg< A friend had a brother and sister - they were a real bundle of trouble, but adorable. He seems to know he has landed on his feet! I love the name. He looks as though he thinks quilt inspecting is a great job >g< . In message , Bronnie writes

He is beautiful, and seems to have QI potential!

It is difficult when they are at the age where their brakes don't work very well and stop happens when they hit something solid like an ornament. I had that last year, but this year two grown up cats who do have their moments, but now have excellent brakes. (Hodge has never done running!)

I really felt I wanted to reach inside the screen and give Ringo a hug.

He is very cuddle-able Sally! I'll give him one from you. Loved your description about the brakes. Glass windows to the floor also stop him promptly! He is about 4 months old. Gosh, I'm exhausted from all the kitty training this week!

Yep, Pat, I think QI will be his top job. Today he curled up around the foot pedal of my SM whilst I was sewing. It looked like I should pedal him like a furry set of bagpipes LoL. But the worst thing was yesterday he kept trying to leap up the design wall! And my blocks kept floating off.....oh my....

Ringo is a *very* handsome fellow. I see that he's mastering the "high alert stealth mode" position in his cubby. He'll make a fine QI. I showed the pictures to Mister Oliver, he pretended like he wasn't impressed.....cats are like that *sigh*

Bronnie, he's adorable! I love Abyssinians, they look like little wildcats, and sounds like he's living up to that! Enjoy your new baby!

What a handsome feline. He reminds me of the American mountain lion.

He's adorable, Bronnie! I have to say that I really enjoyed looking at your Italian food pics -- I'm full just looking at them! What a wonderful holiday that must have been. :)

A nice age to go out into the wide world.I think pedigree cats gain from having to wait for their injections at three months before they are homed - they are then old enough to be separated from their mother. Most kittens are so young - 6 weeks, and although they are weaned, still need the comfort of their mother, and denying them this is supposed to lead to possible regressive behaviour. We were lucky as DS kept Kiwi while we were on holiday, so he and Mia were 3 months (Mia was originally only coming for a month while 'Mummy' had a second litter, but she stayed).

Ringo looks as though he will be a big cat - going by the size of his feet!

Thanks Taria, he camoflages himself here very well on the persian carpets. In respect to his possible adult size that others mentioned, the breed is not a big cat, max. 4kgs so they say. They also keep very lithe. Here's hopimg anyway!
