I finished and got this quilt sent off last week:

My bil passed away almost 2 years ago and I offered to make a quilt from his clothes. It took his wife a long time to be able to go through them. I think this was the hardest quilt I ever made. Hopefully it will offer her some comfort.

Also, you can see the ultrasuede bags I made dh for Christmas last year:

Nice to liberate the photos finally!

What a wonderful tribute to your BIL. I'm sure it will bring his wife much comfort as she wraps herself in the quilt.

Those bags are really great too - good job!

That's a great quilt from the heart Taria. Yes, I bet it was hard for you, and for his wife to get up the courage to sort things out.

Those bags are really lovely. Beautiful stuff ultrasuede, isn't it.

I made a mini mile-a-minute, but it was all one 'block'. I had never thought of doing actual separate blocks - I had wondered how one could go any bigger than my little one. Now I don't have to wonder. It looks really great. Thanks for solving my little 'unspoken' mystery. It's a great pattern, and a really pretty quilt. . In message , Taria writes

I really like the way you did that memorial quilt, Taria; I'm sure your SIL will appreciate it. Those bags are really nice, too. :)

Taria,

I really like it all, I know your sister must love the quilt you made for her. Wonderful detail on all your work. I also think the scrappy quilt is way cool and you're right about the corners.

Howdy!

Wonderful memorial quilt, T. Warming for all of you.

Suede bag: are you insane?!!!? ;-D But that is pretty cool.

M-a-Min quilt: very nice. Now, tell me, did your scrap pile shrink any?

Thanks Sandy. Insane? Do you really have to ask? lol

Scrap pile never shrinks. I cleaned the shed today (6 hours out there) I found all my Christmas stuff in addition to boxes and boxes of jeans and denim. That stuff is worse than regular scraps for multiplying.

Post 1 yr for the big 0 bd. You're as young as you feel they tell me....
