Sort of quilt related

Here is a little of what I have been up to. Just 'cause I live in So Cal and my 'barn' is really a shed doesn't mean I can't give it a quilt.

I am definitely a better quilter than painter!

That's great - and I don't see a thing wrong with your painting!

Cool, Taria! What's wrong with the painting you did? I can't see any problems. :)

Taria: Well done, both the 'quilt' and the photo! I wanted to sit in the garden and drink Mimosas! PAT in VA/USA

That's wonderful. We have 3 barns but nobody ever goes by so a quilt would be wasted - gators don't much care and the nice mail carrier hardly slows down. I just might do it anyway. Your barn quilt does make me smile. Polly

Howdy!

Cool idea, Taria. Doing it for yourself is the best reason.

Actually, since the roads in the Swamp don't particularly go anywhere and 'you can't get there from here', I've been thinking about asking the state's highway dept if they had any no longer useful signs. "Next 4 lanes, Los Angeles" would be fun. Or "Watch for Falling Rock" maybe. Strangers who arrive at our place always have this "why am I here and how do we get out of here?" look on their faces. I guess a quilt block wouldn't be much comfort. Polly

"Taria" I mostly did it for myself Polly. I am not sure any of the neighbors

hold up a sec, those roads go to your place, that isnt anywhere, its somewhere. 'n once there why not stay a while, why worry bout 'get'n there from here'. i'd much prefer being 'here' to being 'there' anyhow but i guess the road signs would be good for a chuckle or three tho. sounds like you have a lot of strangers arrive at your place. now are they folks you've never met before and were'nt expecting or are they just stranger than the usual folks who come to visit. tis a conundrum from the sounds of it. j.

No, Jeanne, dear friend. The folks who arrive at our place are very few. Actually, in 10 years, there have only been 3 who have 'gone by' our place. One came back. I enjoyed your watermelon suggestion instead of learning a new SM. Our cardiologist wants to have a very serious talk with you. Polly

hmmmm, Polly, i'm guessing then that you're located waaaaaaaay out in the whipwhops. that'd probly be the boondocks back there. i'm still confuddled but no matter. so only 3 have 'gone by' and only one came back. omg, you mean the gators got the other two? oh dear me.

i'm pleased you enjoyed the watermelon keg. watch those gators dont knock it over and get stuck into the contents, eh. happy too that it gave you some distraction from that onery SM. i've no idea at all why your cardiologist wants to have a serious talk with me tho. i dont collect baseball or any other type of cards for that matter. go figure. 8-) j.
