Mom's Quilty Christmas presents

Dec 04, 2005 3 Replies

My mom loves to find the perfect quilting motif for each quilt and she has exhausted all her local quilting pattern sources, so I knew I wanted to give her a book chocked full of quilting designs. I made a search at the nearest Barnes & Noble and hit pay dirt! Not one book, but two! Continuous Line Quilting Designs Especially for Machine Quilting by Pat Cody and Quilting Patterns by Linda MachoI. Both of those are Dover books. I also got her a big quilt block book, 5500 Quilt Block Designs by Maggie Malone. These should keep her busy for awhile. :-)

I can't wait to see her face when she unwraps them! Debra in VA See my quilts at

Hullo Daughter, I just know you won't mind sending my present down to Australia where i've recently moved!!!

Lucky mum!

5500 Quilt Block Designs? Are there really that many in the book? Must go to Amazon and check it out right away.....

Your mom will love them! And if she doesn't, I will happily take them off her hands!

Nice try!

I just got back from shopping with mom. I had to choose between an overpriced cutting table and accessories, or a folding cardboard cutting mat. I picked the cardboard mat for storage and versatility reasons. I'm not sure but I think she was disappointed in my choice.
