Mission style/Arts & Crafts crochet patterns?

Hi - I was wondering if anyone had a source or could direct me to patterns/blocks, etc. that feature mission-style / arts & crafts motifs, designs, for crochet (specifically for use on an afghan)?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Simple charted designs developed for cross stitch or needlepoint could be adapted - I'm not sure if there's a difference in the chart block size like there is for knitting. Seems to me I remember some old McCall's patterns that used cross stitch over afghan stitch, and the chart blocks were square, not rectangular.

Many of the Beth Russell designs are complex, but she has some simple 'tile' style designs in her book 'Arts & Crafts needlepoint". Barbara Hammet also has some simple motif designs in 'The Art of William Morris in Cross Stitch'.

You might also asking on rec.crafts.textiles.yarn for more suggestions. More knitters and crocheters over there, and the more sources you hit the more likely you are to find something you like.

hi check out the January issue of The Cross Stitcher (which is an British magazine). There are four really nice Art Nouveau designs which are similar to mission/arts and crafts designs. Anne Marie in snowy Nova Scotia
