I finally finished my exercise mat. Actually, I finished it quite some time ago, and what I finally got around to is putting pictures of it on my Flickr account.
The design is a simple 4-square, with each of the squares being quite large,
10" finished size. The quilt it 41" x 57". The binding around the quilt is 5" wide. It is so wide because that is how wide I decided to make it when I originally decided to make the mat. It is also to cover up some mist - er - I mean, design changes that I made at the last minute.I put 4 photos up - one each of: the mat rolled up and tied with one of my karate belts for carrying, the front, the back, and a closeup of the no skid backing that I sewed onto the back.
The backing is held on by being sewn into my extra wide binding. I thought I might have to tack it down in the center portion of the quilt so it is held down in more than just the edges, but it has worked fine so far in the exercise class without doing so.
