What you have described here, Lynne, is indeed a great blessing. I'm so glad things happened this way - for your Mom and for you (especially the phone call just so short a time before she died). . In message , lynne in toronto writes

It doesn't help with you and your family missing your mom, but with such a lovely, caring family, your mom was one lucky lady.

My deepest sympathy for you and yours.
(((((HUGS))))) and prayers are on their way to you and your family. It's hard to lose a parent, especially a Mom... But I think she's looking down on you and smiling. ME-Judy
I'm sorry for your loss, Lynne.
I don't care how old you are, it hurts to lose your mom. Nobody will ever love me as much or in the same way that my mother did.
I have a husband and daughter and we are close, but it's just different with your mom.
Mine's been gone for 8 years.
I've missed her a lot in the past couple of months. All I felt was relief for a long time after she died because she had been in so much pain (she had RA for the last 20 years of her life). But now I miss the way it was before she got so bad.
I had a good one. Too bad I was so self absorbed for all those years and just assumed that everyone enjoyed the same support from their mom that I did.
She always knew I loved her, I just never showed her how much I appreciated her.

Lynne:
My beautiful Mom died nearly three years ago, and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. I know exactly what you mean about wanting to call her to chat, as my hand still reaches for the phone. I am so sorry you have to go through this.

Lynne, So very sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. Sending hugs your way. Launie in Oregon
So sorry about your mom. Barbara in Florida"lynne in toronto"
So sorry for your loss. My mother died almost 20 years ago, and I still get the urge to pick up the phone to talk to her. The hurt gets less over time...
So sorry. My Mom's been gone 2 years now and I really feel it whenever I have good news or juicy gossip to share.
I lost my father nearly 28 years ago. There are so many things I could never share with him. He died too young to know any of his spendid grandsons. And I still find myself thinking I must tell Dad that... So I know your loss, and am sending ((((((Lynne Hugs)))))) to ease the transition. No matter what your age, becoming an orhan when a beloved parent goes is hard.
You have my deepest prayers for the strength you need at this time. Barbara in FL
