Hi Everyone. I have 2 yards of a peach polka dot print and two yards of the same print in beige. I have only 1 yard of a chocolate brown print with small aqua and orange flowers. I'd like to make a quilt and am having trouble picking a (simple) block. I was thinking about a four-by-four patch but don't think I have enough of the dark. I think a nine-patch will take up too much fabric in the seams. Suggestions? Thank, W

If you do want to do a four-patch and keep it simple, you could do:
2 squares- peach, 1 square beige, and 1 square dark brown. Then you could save the remaining beige for sashing or a border. You could change the orientation of the blocks so that there was more of a 'pattern'. . In message , " snipped-for-privacy@aol.com" writesHowdy! All you need to do is buy more chocolate brown -doesn't have to be the same, in fact it's probably better to have more variety. Then you can do 9-patches if that's what you want. Roberta in D
