new DGD

Last night at 5:45 PM our second grandchild, first granddaughter was born. Everything went smoothly and quickly just as with the first one. She was 6# 14oz. (DGD was 7# and born at 5:33 pm about 20 months ago.) She is beautiful and perfect and alert and content. Her big brother was quite fascinated. He watched quietly in his Dad's arms through the whole check-up by the pediatrician; he usually doesn't stay in one place any where near that long! My babies were 9 and 10 pounds, so it is fun to have a little one. DD has hers early (20 days on the first and 17 days early on this one). They plan to come home tomorrow after they are sure she isn't going to have jaundice problems like DGS did.

congratulations! My first son was 6 lbs 1 oz at birth. Today, he's 22 years old, 6'3" and weighs .... not nearly enough but he's still big and strong and amazing. Amy is right, those little ones grow up fast.

Hugs, Sunny
