And I have begun the first maternity top for the elder DGD, who is expecting on/about May 4th. To tell the grandparents who live in the area, she & DH invited the parents, grandparents, an aunt to dinner. The dessert was a cake decorated with balloons and the words "We're Expecting" written on it. Since I'm in TX and they all live in the Orlando, FL area, she had her cell phone on speaker, talking to me when the cake was brought to the table. Needless to say, I was touched by her thoughtfulness. When I went online looking for maternity patterns from the Big 3/4, I was sorely disappointed that only Butterick had any patterns, 4-all total. I have one left from when the last DGD was born in 2008, which makes
5-patterns to sew so many outfits and no one of them has a skirt. The couple's parents are giving them a cruise Thanksgiving and she needs several nice dresses for then. Oh, well, I will adapt a couple patterns on hand to maternity.
Have I mentioned how nice it is to be back on alt.sewing and other groups, since DS bought me this new computer? It replaces 12-year old laptop I had designated for sewing, until the screen began rolling sometime ago and neither of us could get it stopped. I had PHOTO SHOP on it, too; and don't know how it will be replaced.

No, not me expecting, but my nephew;s baby is supposed to be here in December. I made a crib size blue fleece blanket for their baby boy. Things are busy here at my house so I bought the other baby items. My sister loved everything I got for her soon to be new grand baby! Barbara in COLD SC
