Wow! I love that Starry Night quilt, Roberta! Did you make those magnificent compasses, or were they swapped to you?

Wow, Roberta your work is breathtaking. I love Jessamy's stars. I wanted to do that swap, but was afraid I'd over commit myself. Now I'm kicking myself for not doing it.
I have a question: on your beautiful "bride" quilt, how did you get the image of the owl? Did you print it on fabric from a photo? I love it and I'm dying to know.

The owl was a printed panel -really cheating! I tried drawing my own and actually made an applique, but it looked like a cartoon owl. Not at all the right effect. The quilt is based on a QNM series that appeared about 12 years ago, IIRC. Roberta in D

You did a wonderful job on them! They're just the touch that quilt needed. :)
