New pictures and Question

No, you don't. This past week, I finished a crewel work that was started when DD was a baby (1978). Then we moved, worked on it off and on over teh eyars until i got hit with serious hand trouble, until I had 3 'flowers' left to do, and put it away "forever 15 years ago" when i could no longer work with a needle . It took since July 1 this year to get it done. I have to go EXTREMELY slowly with hand work and needle nose pliers. It just needs to be framed by a Professional.

DD is 31 now.

So that is 31 years old. On the front picture is says: Printed in 1978.

Butterfly (Anyone have anything OLDER that they just finished, are finishing, or almost finished? Iffy UFO's are not considered as I have some of those, also)

Good to see you here Butterfly. Yes I have something older. I have currently under construction a Grandmother's Flower Garder that was started by DH's grandmother around 1930. Yep, vintage fabrics. I inherited it because no one else in the family wanted to take the time work on it. All pieces were cut and fastened into sets for the rosettes. I started hand pieceing it around 1978, working off & on. Don't know what I will do when quilting time comes. I have not the strength left to hand quilt. Any ideas, anybody?????

Ok, you got me beat. I was about to post about a fair-isle sweater I started in college but I'm pretty sure I started it in 1979. Finished the front and back within the first year. Did the first sleeve a few years later, and my gauge had changed. It's been "put away" since 1986 although I'm thinking of pulling it out and making a vest of the front and back!

On a similar theme. I finished a quilt started by my DD when she was 12.It was finished by me for her 40th in March. Hexagons! She was thrilled. Had forgotten all about it! lol. Its in my album called Nyree's quilt.
