I am thinking of buying a Singer 20U73 commercial sewing machine for myself and I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with that particular model. This is the straight stitch/zig zag industrial model that allows you to control the width of the zig zag stitch with the knee lever as well as control the pressure foot lift function when you choose to. I am interested in this particular function for use in free motion embroidery after watching a demo, on tv, by a guy who does the most amazing things with that machine and it's knee lift. It has a 9mm stitch width which gives it a larger sewing pattern than any of my machines. Any information would be appreciated. I realize that it is probably not the most common machine for this group, but there are pleanty of sewists who are machine junkies here.
