For those of you who remember our Phyllis aka BigBearLady, I'll share this news. Phyllis's husband, Walt, died this Tuesday (lung cancer), and Phyllis is being her usual strong, capable self.

Every year at PIQF time, I think of Phyllis. One year she came and it was such fun to meet her. She also sent my son some charm squares - funny dentist fabric. Hard to think of her losing her husband.

Thanks for telling us, Sandy. I still remember her "attending" the Tucson quilt show one year via telephone.
That does explain her long absence. Hugs and prayers to her. I'll send her an email.

I sent a hug message to Phyllis, knowing she could use all the positive thoughts and prayers we could send her way. I got the following email back today:
