Linda I didn't see it either. But if it wasn't for my groups I would have no one to pray for me and there are times I have REALLY needed them.

Okay I know curiosity killed the cat, but could someone please let me see this apparently offensive prayer... I'd like to see what prayer could possibly be so bad that it could cause offense....

Thanks... A puzzled Elly... and it doesn't take much...

I joined Sunny's group just "in case" - then I got to thinking -- This IS a cyber quilting frame, and when a bunch of friends get together to do quilty things, they often talk about things other than quilting - issues like family, QIs, health problems, etc. That's what quilting folk do in real life, don't they? Why NOT here, too??? We've always marked it "OT" - sooo those who don't want to join in a discussion can just hit the DELETE key. Just my 2 cents worth.

RCTQ posts, on topic or not-- once it's out there, it's still out there, somewhere. ;-)

I've been out of the loop here lately so I don't totally know what has progressed, but I wouldn't worry about it. Those who don't want to read about it can just skip that thread.

I agree, Judy. I can't possibly stay caught up here, given my current state of busy, but when I do chime in I try to answer the OT Prayers/Good Thoughts posts. Heaven knows I have needed RCTQ support a number of times, and it has been given freely and with love.

Though I don't follow any of the traditional religious disciplines, I feel that friends deserve my support in any way I can give it. For local friends I can offer physical support as well as emotional. For my internet friends I can only offer emotional/spiritual support but I want them to know it is given just as freely and with as much love as theirs has been offered to me.

As far as I can remember (not well, I admit) most of our cyberfamily prefixes prayer/support requests with OT. At times of stress someone may forget the OT. Well, so what?

If any of you have read The Persian Pickle Club by Sandra Dallas, you recognize just how wide-ranging the interests and support of a quilting group can extend. Quilting does not exclude all other aspects of life.

I too, have been out of the loop lately for several months now, and I keep saying I am coming back but something always happens. Anyway you can kill file a topic if you so desire so that would work, also. I have been in this group off and on for almost 10 years, absent for about 8 of those years but even back when I first joined, there were prayer requests and I for one needed them because at the time I had a blood clot in my leg.

I could say more but find it best to keep my mouth shut on some things.
