Rita I sent you a long reply but it went to your office!

Good Luck with your Trial. Make sure you are not one with a placebo - though it doesn't sound like that kind of a trial.

I was dx with small cell lung cancer a year ago Dec. 07 - and have been going through chemotherapy, except for a brief respite, every since. Thankfully, I am still asymptomatic as the last two types didn't work at all, in fact the tumors grew.

I have some questions for you if you can email me off line - I'd rather not put it out here.

Rita: Woo Hoo! I'll say that again WOO HOO! And I'll throw in a YAH HOO!!

I happen to own a beautiful bracelet that was sold at Mass. Gen. as a fund raising project. The project was (may still be going) in support of the cancer efforts there. I don't have lots of info on this but I really love the bracelet. It has beautiful handmade beads to represent the colors assigned to each of the cancers ... like the varied ribbons of support. As the Captain of a Relay for Life Team, I am proud to wear this bracelet. I have heard such good things about the cancer unit at Mass. Gen. .... I am glad you are moving ahead with them.

I haven't checked in here for months and I don't always read everything, but the subject called to me ....

My oldest sister died in December of stage 4 lung cancer. She was diagnosed in October. Very weird ... no propensity towards lung cancer other than plain bad luck, I guess.

So, I am just delighted to read your good news! I wish you every bit of luck in the world towards a good recovery. : )

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I wish that her case had gone the way mine is going. I feel very blessed and grateful that, through a quirk of nature, I am continuing to do well.

Thank you for the good wishes.
