OT: Animal Rescue

I received the following email from my Aunt, who is also an animal lover. I have never heard of this site before, but..... it does seem legit. Wondering if you all might click on the appropriate icon to help with keeping the critters fed, and remember that you can click on it daily. Please forgive me if this is bogus - I'm always a sucker for helping animals. TIA.

Subject: Animal Rescue Site This is pretty simple. Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "FUND FOOD FOR ANIMALS" for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors / advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

AGAIN, PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS!!! THANKS!

It's legit & when you get to their site, on the left hand side there is a line that you can click on to get a daily reminder to click, so I do that & it comes to my email everyday, just like the breast cancer link.

This one, and the 5 others in the loop are listed as legit on the Snopes website. The others in the loop are The Hunger Site, Breast Cancer Site, Child Health Site, Rainforest Site, and Literacy Site.

Please click on all the donate buttons in the loop.

For those with high speed internet it takes about a minute to click on all site's donate buttons. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Thank you Debra! I had no idea these sites were out there, and it seems a small task to just click on icons to help out all of these very worthy causes. I will add them all to my "daily reminder" calendar. Thank you again......

It's legit - I've been clicking there for several years, as well as on their related sites.

It is legit. I posted the site in April and I think there were people who marked it for clicking. I missed seeing the note on the left side to get an email daily so you don't forget to click, so I signed up. Supposedly I get a free paw pin! I love freebies.

Thanks for posting this, Patti! :)

To get the free paw pin, you have to buy something first! Found that out when I went to their site. I have it set up so I get the reminder in my email every day - just takes a minute or two to click on all the sites they have it set up so conveniently.

When I did it, I only had to pay shipping.

I went looking around their site today and they have some really cute "pet" stuff. I ordered about 3 or 4 things, and after I submitted my order, I got a "thank you" that said my order helped them buy 27 bowls of food for animals - what a "feel good" purchase!! And Jan, if you don't get your pin, let me know, because I'm going to get one with my order. I will gladly pass it on to you.........
