animal beads

This group has introduced me to all sorts of new things! :-)

I'm now interested (thanks to you folks!) in lampwork beads in the shape of little animals. At the moment i'm not prepared to buy the finer works with higher prices (which make me drool when i look at them), but just am looking for some cute little bugs/fish/etc. to play around and experiment with.

Any suggestions of where is best to find some assortments of these at reasonable prices?

TIA!

I would keep my eye on Ebay if I were you. There are lots of cute animal beads by lampworkers, which don't always sell very high. Since they are sort of a specialty bead, they are not something that appeal to everyone, so they don't always sell well. Then you can get some real bargains. Some great animal beadmakers are NLC beads, Pam Dugger, Caswell's, Gelly, sorry I don't know their seller's ids. Hmm... that is all I can think of at the moment but I am sure others will have suggestions for you.

You could do a search in the lampwork section on Ebay, just type in "fish" or "cat" or whatever critter your looking for into the search.

Here is what I came up with by typing "fish"...lots of hits!
