That might be the answer. I never double any recipe either ... if I want 2 or 3 of the same bread, etc., out come 3 (or more) separate bowls and each bowl has its very own contents. This has always worked better for me.

I live in the Metroplex. What's traffic? This is why I suggest a few stops in-between. Quilt shops, eggnog break, post office, chicken Caesar salad, fill the gas tank, dry cleaners, Slurpee shop... going anywhere around here means A Trip; might as well make it worth it. ;-)
R/Sandy-- managed to fit in 2 quilt shops between home & the Faucet Parts Store, which is up north of here by the huge Boondoggle aka cowpokes football stadium
