OT Butterfly Blockers?

Butterfly tells me that she's posted twice about Raggedy Ann/Andy's hair and hasn't seen her post or any answers. Wonder why she's blocked? Anyone see a Butterfly? Polly

The only Butterfly I have seen is the one outside in my garden, competing with my roses for color.

I haven't seen Butterfly post for a LONG time :(

I did a search on my newsreader for her past posts and found none. I then did a Google RCTQ group search and saw the last post by a Butterfly "Butterfly butterfly_dash snipped-for-privacy@bak.nospam.com" on May 21st, 2006. The last post found was about selling fat quarters, over a year ago.

Huh!?! Where did she post on Friday the 10th and what name did she use in the "from" line. I'd like to look it up and see how I missed that in my search.

There have been some more recently than that, I'm pretty sure - Oh!

2006? yes, definitely. Probably the most recent was the one she posted about her husband getting back to work? . In message , Val writes

Not since Friday. But then it is not unusual for people to be doing stuff on weekends and leaving the computer til Monday.

I have had a bunch of big white butterflies, some of them are about the width of my palm, frolicking amongst my flowers. Haven't seen any fancy ones, just the white ones and the oversized brown spotty moths. I imagine the white ones could be moths too, I haven't noticed.

OK, I found the last post on the 10th as well, both on my newsreader and on Google groups...........I was using "Butterfly" for my search. Maybe she's experiencing a SNAFU with her ISP.

Patti, I saw your post about bulky stitching but you had already gotten my favorite solution which is to seriously release the pressure that the presser foot is usually set on. I survived (for my last time!) hemming uniform pants by almost completely releasing the pressure and did quite nicely. The Berninas here are ordinarily set down quite hard so I can feed very thin, fine batiste through. I sent Butterfly a lovely photo of the latest gator going out for dinner since she has so generously fed them through the years. This guy is at least 10' long and has such a sweet smile. She emailed back that she had disappeared from the group and her posts were not coming in. Polly

I also noticed in my post about sewing bulky items, there was a reply from "Joan" in someone else's post, yet, I never saw it on the original thread (see below) - me thinks something is amiss.....

I haven't seen a post from Butterfly about hair.........

Maybe she should unsubscribe and resubscribe. Perhaps that would cure her newsgroup internet ills.

I think that's the last one I remember seeing, too ....

She puts Butterflywings in my sender column, but the posts are signed 'Butterfly'. Perhaps this is what confused people. She replied to Witchysticher and Pat on the 10th 'I'm back - on and off topic', and to Connie on the 9th 'Please send some good thoughts our way'.

The post about Mr Joe's new job was on 30th July.

I still haven't had the posts Karen mentioned though, unless they are ones I haven't got to yet!

Do ya'll mean Butterfly Wings? If so, she answered my post about EQ6 a bit ago ... couldn't have been more than a few weeks ago ...

Yeesh ... I hope she's okay - she's a sweet lady. Here's some warm cozy thoughts flying out to her, wherever she is!!!

I've seen recent posts from her, but nothing about Raggedy Ann hair. What does she want to know? How to make it? I've usually used a "turkey work" stitch with a double strand of red yarn. Then cut the loops. Google "turkey work" or "turkey stitch" for how-to information.

Gosh now I am trying to recollect back to my original Raggedy Ann, a real one with shoe button eyes. I do believe she had a mullet, turkey work all around her face and down the back 3/4s of her head and then straight red yarn falling to just above her shoulders. If I am remembering properly the turkey loops were not cut. The Raggedy Ann who came to live with me after the original perished in a house fire only had loops around her face (and black plastic domes for eyes, obviously Nader got to her). The rest of her hair was just straight red yarn pulled over the back of her head and then stitched down at the back of her neck.
