you're so right, Taria. when I was training horses, we would often winter at Del Mar Fairgrounds [near San Diego]. I don't recall the year the winter was so bad. Remember moving my horses from one barn to another when half the area flooded out, then the dam broke up in the Valley. All kinds of people came to help, and we evacuated to Los Alamitos Race Track near Anaheim. We had very expensive racehorses tied to chicken wire fencing, waiting for horse trailers and vans.
