Sunday Fire Update

I saw a comment on the SD newpaper site yesterday. He was an older fellow along with a wife. He said something like 'this is sure going to be a rotten way to spend the next couple of years'. So many folks have had to rebuild in the last few years. Hurricanes, fires, tornedos and other calamities. What a nightmare. My heart goes out to these folks. Polly and some of the folks in that area know too well. Lots of stats for recent fires here for anyone interested:

Blue skies here, also. I dared a walk at sunrise.

Non-measurable drizzle yesterday. Temperatures are 40 degrees cooler that three days ago. Still holding prayer-full thoughts for those affected by the fires. Our Sunday edition of the paper is filled with stories. Last night I spoke to my DSis and DBIL in Seattle. He is supervisor for security at the big hospital there. On Friday at 11AM they got word that if need be, patients from CA hospitals are expected to be evacuated up there, and he will be called in to coordinate everything.

Dad is doing so well that he is no longer using his walker. He is only using a cane. He goes for a follow-up visit with the doctor on Tuesday! Thanks for asking
