Hi Everyone,
California has now been on fire for a week. The winds are down, the temperatures are down and yesterday we had a non-measurable amount of precipitation which helped add moisture into the air so things are not as dry. Some fires are 100% contained, while others are still burning wildly. Unfortunately, prediction says weather will warm up, humidity will drop and the winds just might be making a reappearance. Yesterday and so far today, the sky looks blue and not as smoke filled. Windows are open and I can breath.
Went with next door neighbor to Quilt 'n Things in Montrose yesterday. Cute town, really nice people work in the shop. While driving home, we saw 4 fire trucks heading north on the 5 from Alameda. Not sure if they are going home because things are more under control or if they have to get back for fires in their own area.
Lets hope that the fires are all out soon, families can get their lives back together and life begins to look up for people.
